EVO Power is an Australian manufacturer specialising in battery energy storage systems (BESS) primarily for commercial and industrial use.

My role at EVO Power,

• As a part of the product development team, I lead the software engineering for the energy management controller (EMC) of the energy storage systems and its integration with internal and 3rd party backend/cloud environments for remote monitoring and control of the energy storage systems.
  
• Lead software requirement/specification development, contribute to software architecture and coordinate with a team of software developers to ensure timely, high-quality software delivery. Also, contribute to software testing.
  
• Provide pre-sales technical support to sales and project teams for project-specific custom requirements.

Senior Software Developer
Wired-in Software Pty Ltd          [October 2020 – Dec 2021]

Wired-in software is a system integration and software development consultancy developing bespoke test and measurement solutions for manufacturing & research to improve production efficiency, product quality and research capability.

My role at UE,

Senior Engineer – Instrumentation and Data Systems (Water / Power)
Entura (consulting division of Hydro Tasmania)          [Jan 2019 – March 2020]

Entura is one of the most experienced specialist power and water consulting firms. Entura creates safe and sustainable power and water solutions from strategy, planning, design, and construction to operation and maintenance.

My role at Entura,

• System design and software development of a remote monitoring system for water and power assets.
• Support server-side / backend data management application software.
• Custom dashboard development.

KEY PROJECTS

• Hydro Tasmania water assets monitoring – upgrade remote asset monitoring instrumentation, including device firmware, configuring the backend application to connect and ingest the data & dashboard development.

ACHIEVEMENTS

• Played a crucial role in developing a product roadmap to upgrade internal remote monitoring and analytics application.

Reltek is a system integration and software development consultancy specialising in developing software for industrial/scientific instrumentation & control system applications. The company is a system integrator for National Instruments, USA.

KEY PROJECTS

• Wireless Environment Monitoring System for greenhouses (internet-connected), Client - Adelaide University - Australian Plant Phenomics Facility. Developed an end-to-end solution, including requirement analysis, design, programming, system integration, testing and commissioning.
• The load distribution monitoring system, Client - Australian Submarine Corporation (ASC) Developed entire software, including architecture, UI design, coding and testing.
• High Amperage test facility control system, Client - CSIRO. Developed software solution, including architecture, UI design, safety interlocks & testing.

ACHIEVEMENTS

• Delivered software development project on time and budget to an industry-sponsored research project. Received a letter of referral for the contribution to the project. Client: Deakin University
• Decreased test time by 50% for a paper quality test system by introducing data analytics features on the test software. Client: Amcor
